The ANdAZ (formerly the Great Eastern Hotel) is practically attached to Liverpool Street Station which serves the East of England and suburban east London stations. Originally built as a lunatic asylum, this imposing Victorian building has benefited from a £70 million refurbishment and the design input of Terence Conran. Over 1000 sq metres of event space comprise a 24-hour business centre and 13 private dining and event rooms ranging in capacity from a boardroom for 8 to space for 600. Most meeting rooms feature natural lighting, modern IT and audiovisual facilities contrasted with original Victorian architecture and fittings. With a sweeping white rotunda, champagne, sushi and cocktail bars, it's a stylish option for business travellers heading for the City.

Trains and Travel...
While most of the capital's hotels are well-connected by virtue of the city's expansive and far-reaching Underground system there are some that represent the ultimate in convenience. If being close to a station with links to the Midlands, the North and East of England and Scotland is your priority the Premier Travel Inn King's Cross is hard to beat. For a modern hotel, facilities here are fairly limited - although the onsite bar and restaurant are more than adequate. However its location directly opposite two of London's most well-connected train and Tube stations (King's Cross and St Pancras) makes this the perfect choice for business travellers. The hotel has really come into its own now that St Pancras has become the London terminus of the Eurostar Rail Link.
